The Town of Highland Lake has two venues that are available for rent, provided the rental application is approved and your deposit is paid. Note that all public facilities of the Town of Highland Lake are smoke-free and no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
The Anchor
The Anchor's rental hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Rental of The Anchor includes free use of the Gazebo for a designated period of no more than two hours (pending availability).
Rental Fee is $250 for Highland Lake property owners; $300 for non-Highland Lake property owners. Checks should be made payable to Town of Highland Lake. There is a $400 damage deposit.. Your deposit will be returned if all rules are followed. The Anchor will be unlocked by the Highland Lake Police Department the day of the event.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the rental date. One-half the rental fee will be kept for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental date.

RENTAL STIPULATIONS
- The Town of Highland Lake reserves the right to reject any rental it feels is not appropriate for the Facility.
- Rentals should be made as far in advance as possible (but no more than one year in advance).
- The Anchor will be booked on a First Come First Serve basis.
- The Anchor shall not be considered rented until the rental fee has been paid. Deposit must be received by no later than the week prior to the event.
- The Anchor will be unlocked by the Police Department the day of the event.
- ALCOHOL use at the Anchor is Strictly Prohibited. Use of TOBACCO products is Strictly Prohibited inside the Anchor.
- There is a 120 person occupancy limit at any time during the use of the Anchor.
- After inspection and it is determined that there is no damage by the renting party, the deposit will be refunded. (Deposit check will be mailed to address of renter by the Town Clerk).
- All parties utilizing the facility shall act in an orderly fashion, and the Responsible Party bears sole financial responsibility for any damage occurring to the building, grounds, or equipment during their allotted time.
- No addition to existing nails, screws, tacks, staples, or anything else that would cause damage will be used on the walls, woodwork, or anywhere else on the premises.
- Non-conformance with these usage stipulations will result in cancellation of the usage, even if the rental time and period has not expired and will result in forfeiture of all monies paid.
- The Responsible Party will ensure that ALL lights are turned off, that ALL doors are locked, and that ALL garbage is removed from the facility and placed in the provided dumpsters.
- No property owned by the Town of Highland Lake should be removed from the Anchor.
- Adjust heating/cooling thermostat. Winter-60. Summer-75.
- If something is damaged or broken, please report this to the office.
The Gazebo
Rental hours for the Gazebo are 8:00 a.m. to sundown (8:00 p.m. during summer months). Rental fee is $50 an hour (includes electrical service). Make check payable to Town of Highland Lake. Deposit required is $100. Your deposit will be refunded if all rules are followed. For cancellations, call 205.625.6407 at least 24 hours before the rental date.
GAZEBO RENTAL RULES
Note: The Gazebo power is normally off. If rented, the power will be supplied.
GAZEBO RENTAL RULES
- No smoking, food, or drinks are permitted in the Gazebo.
- Place all garbage in bags. Tie the bags securely, and place them in the large cans behind the fence next to Town Hall.
- Please report anything damaged or broken to the Town Hall office.
- No tents of any description are allowed.
- No nails, staples, or pushpins can be used to attach decorations to the Gazebo. Your help is keeping the Gazebo wood undamaged is greatly appreciated!
- With the exception of electrical wheelchairs, driving motorized vehicles on concreted areas is prohibited.
- The Town of Highland Lake is not responsible for rental items brought to the Town property, or items left following an event.
- The renter is responsible for any damages during the term of this rental.
- Smoking and/or alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
