An event will be held at the Anchor starting at 11:00 a.m. with food and drink courtesy of Hometown Bank. Dr. John Beehler, University President, and other officials are slated to attend. The Town Council holds its regular meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at The Anchor (612 Lakeshore Drive) unless this date falls on a holiday. Then the regular meeting will take place the following Tuesday.

Outdoor Burning
Please use all necessary safety precautions when doing any type of outdoor burning. Only rubbish such as leaves, limbs of trees, and other yard debris may be burned with the town limits. Rubbish may not be burned without 10 feet of the water's edge, nor allowed to be swept into the lake by rain, wind, or snow, or wave actions from boats. It is unlawful to burn hazardous materials such as roofing, plaster, tires, etc. Please refer to the link below for additional information, including specific materials that are unlawful to burn.
Do not burn when the county is under a "NO BURN" ban, or when there is a fire alert. Websites to check for weather conditions are listed below:

Construction Permits
Written plans for the construction, repair, or renovation of piers, docks, boathouses, seawalls, or any construction within the 900 foot contour line should be submitted to Town Hall for approval by the Town Council prior to the issuance of a Building Permit and the onset of construction.
All new construction, additions, and remodeling plans for houses should be submitted to Town Hall for approval by our Building Inspector before the beginning of any project.
