Lake Use Permits & Fees

• The Town of Highland Lake has an annual Lake Use Permit / Fee that is charged to all property owners.  
  • The annual fee for lake front properties is $200.00.
    • Multiple, contiguous lake front properties are treated as one property for this fee.
    • Multiple, non-contiguous lake front properties are treated as separate properties; therefore, multiple fees will apply. 
  • The annual fee for non-lake front properties is $100.00.
• There is a late fee of $25 per year.
• The Town is actively collecting for up to two years in arrears, but this will increase each year that the fee is not paid.
• The Town requests that all Relators check with the Town Clerk at (205) 625-6407 to determine if any property they are handling may be in arrears prior to conducting closings.
