Tim Moore serves as the Building Inspector for the Town of Highland Lake, Alabama. Mr. Moore has full authority to inspect and rate any and all construction in accordance with the 2015 International Building Code.

Required basic inspections for a new house:
1. Plan review
2. Footing
3. Under slab plumbing and electrical or gas piping
4. Basement or garage slab
5. Completion of the lowest floor (if applicable)
6. Temporary power pole
7. Electrical rough-in
8. Plumbing rough-in
9. Mechanical rough-in
10. Framing
11. Sewer connection
12. Under ground power service (if applicable)
13. Temporary to permanent power inspection
14. Final
NOTE: There could be other inspections needed according to different types of buildings.
Inspections are $50.00 each. Charges for inspections are included when the building permit is obtained from the Town of Highland Lake.
